What does the process of working with you look like?

To book, visit my Book with Me page and submit an inquiry with the type of session you’re interested in and your preferred date. I’ll respond via email within 2-4 business days—be sure to check your spam folder just in case!I'll help narrow down all the details that make your session special like date, location, and timeline over email. Once confirmed, I'll send a contract to sign. After reading + signing your contract, a 50% nonrefundable deposit is due to secure your booking (the remaining balance is due on session day; for maternity + newborn packages, it’s due at the newborn session).Leading up to your session, we’ll chat via text about wardrobe, inspiration, or a Pinterest board if you have one and I'll be available to easily contact if any questions or concerns arise prior to your session. I’ll also send a text 2–3 days before your session to confirm exactly when + where we'll meet.Feeling nervous? That’s totally normal! I’ll guide you with poses and prompts to help you feel comfortable and natural. This is something we'll talk about leading up to your session: how comfy or uncomfy you feel in front of the camera, what kind of poses you like and don't like, and if you have any specifics in mind. I'm here to bring that all to life for you and facilitate a comfortable and enjoyable session. Within a 1-2 days, I’ll text you 5–10 sneak peek images, and your full gallery will be delivered within 2-4 weeks, depending on the season. I’ll confirm this timeline at your session!

What is your turn around time?

Accepted Answer

My turn around time ranges from 2-4 weeks. This is highly dependent on the season! During peak seasons there may be a longer wait, but the rest of the year it's 2-3 weeks. I'll be sure to communicate exactly how long you can expect to wait for your gallery, and always feel free to ask and follow up if you're curious about the status of your gallery. My goal is to get your photos to you promptly, however I am highly specific about editing and attention to detail and never want to rush. This is why I love sharing sneak peeks, you get to see a handful of your photos immediately following our session which hopefully makes the wait a bit easier!

Do you charge per image or for additional images?

Accepted Answer

For all sessions other than Branding, no. My maternity, newborn, and family offerings include a minimum amount of photos. For example, if you book a standard one hour family session with me, you will get at least 75 photos delivered in your gallery. You may get more than 75 images, but you won't get less than 75 images. If you're curious about this always feel free to ask!My Branding offerings also include a minimum amount of photos, with an additional charge per image beyond the minimum included. Please inquire for details.

Do you help with wardrobe and styling?

Accepted Answer

Yes! When you book with me I am happy to assist with your wardrobe choices for your session. This can be as simple as a list of recommendations (e.g. avoid items with logos or small patterns) and ideas for color palettes, a collection of images sourced from Pinterest to give you a visual idea for styling, or as involved as sending you links to shop or FaceTiming to go through clothes you already have. I love helping with this part of the planning process!

Can I request all or some of my photos not be shared to social media?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! I respect my client's privacy and you can request all or some of your images not be shared on social media or my website. I always want to honor my client's wishes, make them feel comfortable, and create photos that are, first and foremost, for them.It is always helpful to my business to be able to share the images I create and appreciate those who allow me to do so. Also I refrain from tagging my clients or using their full names in the captions of images shared on my website or social media to ensure privacy. I am also always more than happy to blur faces of children or refrain from sharing their images at all. This is something we can agree to in writing over email or that I can amend my contract to reflect, so please don't hesitate to request what makes you feel most comfortable!

What if it's cloudy the day of our session, can we reschedule?

Since weather is something beyond our control, in most circumstances we will not reschedule due to cloudy weather. If this is a huge concern, I totally understand and recommend adjusting a few variables to avoid cloudy weather: book your beach session outside the gloomy months (February, May, June are the months that come immediately to mind) or avoid booking at the beach and opt for a more inland location. Although the beach is gorgeous, it does tend to have the least predictable weather of all location types.If the weather is unsafe, such as thunder, lightning, or heavy rain we will definitely touch base and reschedule accordingly. I am confident in my ability to make magic out of any weather condition, and promise that a gloomy day still makes for beautiful photos!I am always here to help find a location that works best for what you envision your photos to look and feel like, so please never hesitate to mention if you have an ideal weather situation in mind and I can be a resource to help make that a reality!
