My passion for photography started as just a kid when my grandparents let me use their digital point + shoot camera. Through high school and into adulthood, photography was the tool through which I processed the world around me + documented the best of not only my life, but other's lives too.

After graduating  with my Bachelor's Degree from Cal State San Marcos, I decided to return to my first love and Teal Hankins Photo began operating in October 2019.

Since then, I've learned so much through hands-on experience with clients. In addition to operating THP,  I've worked as the Lead Photographer at Studio Luniste, based in San Diego, CA, since July of 2022.

 

My background includes families, maternity, and newborns and spans to studio product and commercial lifestyle photography. I'm passionate about integrating my always expanding technical skill with an eye that has been trained over the past 15 years of living behind a camera. I find so much purpose in sharing my craft and collaborating with my clients—whether that's documenting the arrival of their first child, or creating imagery that speaks to their business + brand.
